What Is It?

Greg Neeley's sculptures are so completely new in form, texture, and color that the most asked question is, “What are they made of”?

Greg’s pieces are a combination of old and new materials and techniques. The body of the animals is made of  polyurethane resin in a built up work from a steel or wood armature.

This raw form is now perfected requiring many hours of hand sanding.

The form then receives several coats of the highest quality poly urethane lacquers. Each layer is sanded and polished before the next coat is added. Some color combinations call for as many as 12 coats of lacquer.

After the form receives its color coating, the ornamentation is hand made using jewelry making techniques. All jewelry is designed and made by Greg and is specifically designed for each motif.

Each sculpture is handmade.

Some sculptures have precious gems and metals, others are embellished with real chrome or black chrome plated metal.

Greg’s sculptures are all mounted on either natural stone bases or handmade lacquer finish. The result is an exiting and beautiful visual and tactile experience.
